One of the key initiatives behind the Nintendo Switch is the ability to play anywhere. Many believe that it’s the portability factor which has led to such great sales for the Switch. Nintendo wanted to create a console that would make it possible to game in a different and unique way, instead of challenging the main competitors in terms of power. But with a battery life of three-to-five hours, the Switch’s portability could perhaps be viewed as limited.

SwitchCharge is a new case created by a UK company called InDemand Design, which holds a massive 12,000mAh battery that can provide 12 hours of play time. The case also allows you to play and charge at the same time, and even has slots to carry games that aren’t in use, and stronger kickstands to provide more balance and support. The creators feel that “there’s a constant worry when using a Switch on the go and trying to play the games we love”, and believe that the SwitchCharge is the perfect answer to these worries.

You can back the SwitchCharge now on Indiegogo here. At the time of writing, they are 29 percent towards the final goal of $80,00 with almost 300 backers. The selling price looks set to be $130, which may seem steep but there are incentives to order early or in bulk.

If you are a fan of the portability the Switch offers but constantly worry about the battery life, then this could be the right product for you!
