Nintendo has announced its first main Direct showcase for 2026 on the mobile Nintendo Today! app, which streams live on 10am EDT June 9 online and at the Nintendo New York store. The Direct will be roughly 50 minutes followed by a 95 minute Nintendo Treehouse Live presentation of the games that will be revealed during the Direct. It will be available to watch on YouTube, the Nintendo Today! app, and the other usual streaming platforms. It will also be streamed live for participants at the Nintendo Store in New York, which call back many fond memories of the now-historic Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reveal for the Nintendo Switch.
Many fans have high hopes for this highly anticipated Direct, as this could very well be a big one with first and third party titles for the Switch 2. Will there be an overhaul of an Ocarina of Time remake, a trailer for the Legend of Zelda movie, or perhaps a new Zelda game entirely?
