If you missed it, Marth was confirmed as a returning character in the upcoming instalments of Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS. Unsurprisingly, the blue-haired warrior has featured in many of the most recent daily screenshots on the official website for the game, and today he happens to clash swords with a familiar face around these parts.
Link and Marth are seen swinging their swords, leaving pretty blue arches in the wake of their encounter. You might notice that the pair’s motion waves look different, and this is intentional; series director Masahiro Sakurai shared the following on Miiverse (thanks to ONM UK for the translation):
“Marth’s sword has a powerful tip! So we gave his sword slashes a sharp look with an emphasis on its edge.”
