During Nintendo’s Direct program today, the company announced that the final character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be announced on October 5. This character remains unknown, but this last presentation will both announce who it will be and explore all their new features. It will be presented by Masahiro Sakurai.
The presentation will air at 7am PT on October 5, and is expected to last roughly 40 minutes. The fighter’s release date, as well as a look at the last Mii Fighter costumes, are also going to be announced in this presentation. It’s the end of an era for Smash fans, as the 11th new character will be announced (12th if you want to count Piranha Plant, who is not part of either Fighter Pass). It’s been almost three years since the game originally came out, which is incredibly strange to think about. The only question that will remain after the presentation is, “So, when do we do this all again?”
