Nintendo Music Adds Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Soundtrack

While we all wait for the Zelda news we want: more information on the Ocarina of Time remake, Nintendo handed us a small dosage of cope by releasing the soundtrack for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment on the Nintendo Switch Music app. It’s not quite a new trailer, but for Zelda fans starving for anything related to Nintendo’s legendary franchise, this latest Nintendo Music update is at least something.

Nintendo has added the full soundtrack, consisting of 69 tracks, to its music streaming service, allowing Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to relive one of the Switch 2’s biggest Zelda adventures through its music alone. The addition joins the ever-growing library of Nintendo Music, which continues to expand with soundtracks from across Nintendo’s history of games.

For anyone who played Age of Imprisonment, the soundtrack’s arrival is a welcome one. The game delivered the large-scale battles and over-the-top action that the Hyrule Warriors series is known for, but it also featured plenty of memorable arrangements inspired by Zelda’s rich musical legacy. From intense battlefield themes to emotional story moments, the soundtrack helped sell the scale of the conflict surrounding the Imprisoning War.

Of course, Zelda fans have had their eyes focused elsewhere lately; but, at the very least, it gives us something new to listen to while theorizing about how Nintendo will handle one of the most beloved games ever made.

Zelda music rarely misses, and Age of Imprisonment is no exception. Find the full track list below!
