Those of you who have picked up Hyrule Historia may have stumbled upon this interesting little piece of concept art of everyone’s favourite Hylian Princess.
Hairstyle disasters aside, our royal heroine is sporting an unusually futuristic style of attire. In the A Link to the Past art section on page 143 of Hyrule Historia, it simply states: “Zelda is wearing a sci-fi-themed costume. It does not make an appearance in the game.” The original Legend of Zelda was planned to be set in both the past and future; could it be that Nintendo at one stage intended to revisit this concept? Is this Zelda from the future?
