Happy Switch 2 launch! If you’re one of the fortunate Zelda fans who got their Mole Mitts on Nintendo’s latest console, you’re probably getting your copies of Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild ready for their updates, or perhaps you’re clicking in their Switch 2 edition cartridges ready to play. Chances are, you’re probably looking for Zelda Notes to download on your mobile device too. But wait! Zelda Notes is nowhere to be found. Where is it? Well, you’re not going to see it in the mobile store that way. That’s because Zelda Notes is actually a feature inside the Nintendo Switch mobile app itself.
This tiny detail is important to, well, note for head-scratching parents and those of us who might not be as accustomed to mobile app technology. The app you want to look for to download is called the Nintendo Switch app, renamed from the previous Nintendo Switch Online mobile app. (Yes, even more confusion.)
If you already have a Nintendo Switch Online account, things should go fairly easier once that’s taken care of. A nice little welcome tutorial opens up in the app that explains what it does, how it works, and how to connect with friends to play. You will then be able to see and select game specific services, which include Zelda Notes itself. The app will continue to explain a tutorial of the features that Zelda Notes provides, which include a Hyrulean GPS system, a daily in-game bonus, amiibo items, transferring screenshots, sharing Autobuilds, and of course finding the highly anticipated Voice Memories. Three characters are confirmed to be featured in the Tears of the Kingdom Voice Memories, which are Princess Zelda, Master Kohga, and King Rauru. The Breath of the Wild Voice Memories feature Zelda. It is not known at this time if more characters will join in the future. But for now, what’s in Zelda Notes is certainly a worthy excuse to keep exploring our beloved Hyrule to our hearts’ content.
