Tears of the Kingdom official soundtrack to be released in Japan

The official soundtrack of Tears of the Kingdom is getting its first physical release as a CD box set on July 31, 2024. The announcement was made on Nintendo’s Japanese website. It contains 344 tracks across 9 discs and includes original recordings, as well as BGM and sound effects. There also will be a limited edition with an exclusive box design and a Master Sword themed USB containing 15 high definition FLAC files, including 3 tracks in 5.1 surround sound.

The soundtrack was announced as a part of the 1 year anniversary event of the game’s release, along with a replica Master Sword, a Master Works art book, and a collaboration with BlackMilk Clothing. The standard version of the soundtrack is listed at 13,200 yen (about $85) and the limited edition is listed at 19,800 yen (about $100).

Unfortunately for fans outside of Japan, the release is a Japan exclusive, with no news of an international edition. Eager fans wanting a physical copy of the soundtrack collection will have to import the Japanese edition or await an announcement of an international release. Regardless, it may be a while before we will be able to hear Colgera’s theme in 5.1 surround sound. In the meantime, you can find your favorite classic Zelda OSTs right here on Zelda Universe.
