GameStop is giving away a free wooden plaque alongside Tears of the Kingdom

Legend of Zelda fans who purchase Tears of the Kingdom at GameStop will get a nifty little collectible alongside the game. GameStop is offering a free wooden plaque as a bonus for both the standard edition of Tears of the Kingdom, and the much sought after Collector’s Edition. The plaque must be picked up at a physical GameStop location and is available while the limited supply lasts, so anyone who preorders the game online will be required to bring in a printed confirmation of their purchase. Additional details can be found on GameStop’s website.

The plaque features a strange emblem with some familiar imagery from Tears of the Kingdom’s trailers thus far. Front and center is the mysterious, ghostly hand that Link and Zelda discover deep below the earth, and seemingly grants Link a number of new powers. There is also an eye symbol which resembles the same design as seen on one of Link’s new shields in the game. Whatever purpose these symbols all have, we’ll find out more about them when the game releases in just under three months on May 12th.
