After a year of trying to right the ship at GameStop, Reggie Fils-Aimé will be stepping down from the GameStop board of directors at the end of the fiscal year, according to the 10-K form from the GameStop investor’s meeting.

Fils-Aimé is one of several board members that will step down at the end of the fiscal year. Of course, this year was tough on many businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, GameStop has also been facing fluctuating stock prices thanks to the subreddit r/wallstreetbets which may not accurately reflect actual store performance.
With these members stepping down, things don’t bode will for the once giant retailer. It seems even reducing executive salaries could not help the floundering business. GameStop’s future remains unclear at this time.
Does this mean that Reggie will finally find peace in his retirement? Knowing him, most likely not.
