Yesterday we reported on the revelations surrounding NPCs in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the game using an advanced version of the Mii format. We have Twitter user HeyImHeroic to thank for this discovery, and she has more interesting information to share on the topic.
Her follow-up tweets discuss the process and answer some important questions. Firstly, HeyImHeroic credited the Breath of the Wild modding Discord for supporting her investigation. Someone who wishes to remain anonymous also helped with the Mii conversion process by sharing various resources.
We now have access to full screenshots that HeyImHeroic posted in yesterday’s initial post. This gives us a closer look at the importation of Mii characters into the game, which is honestly fascinating.
It was also confirmed that Mii importation is only used on human-like characters, which includes the likes of Hylians and Sheikah. Characters such as Gorons and Zoras ignore the Mii values used in the game. HeyImHeroic also answered more questions that were frequently being asked, so go check them out if you’re curious.
