Hasbro announced that they would be partnering with Nintendo in a multi-year collaboration for new The Legend of Zelda toys. This collaboration between the two companies is set to start in 2027. It should be noted that this is not the same company as Jakks Pacific, which co-released the Breath of the Wild Link and Zelda figures with Nintendo in more recent times.
Luckily, you won’t have to wait until next year to see what some of these toys look like. Our first official look at the toys will be next week at San Diego Comic Con, taking place on July 23-26, 2026, where three 6″ scale figures will be shown off. While the exact characters and which installment in the franchise they are from is unknown, we’re leaning towards them being of the big three of the Zelda universe (see what I did there). There’s also speculation that these toys could coincide with both the franchise’s 40th anniversary and the Ocarina of Time remake, or even the Zelda movie, which would also lead to these being our first full look at the some of the outfits and character designs in these two new installments.
Hasbro’s own President of Toys and Board Games, Billy Lagor, had this to say about the collab, “For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery. By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”
With this collab, there’s also the possibility of other franchises crossing over with Zelda. Many fans have been begging for a Magic: The Gathering Zelda set for years, and this could be easily be something that could come out of this. Hasbro also owns Dungeons and Dragons, which definitely could have an awesome crossover into Zelda territory. Another interesting collab that could happen between the two IPs is with My Little Pony as there is already a canonically correct Link pony seen within the background of an episode in the beloved TV show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The possibilities are endless! Keep an eye out for our update once we get that first look at the new unveiled figures at SDCC.
