With officially licensed LEGO sets based on the Super Mario franchise now available and receiving attention and interest worldwide, many LEGO and Zelda fans have begun to see the opportunity for our favorite video game series to be brought to life in the plastic medium. The latest example comes from avid LEGO artist Brixter, who has submitted an idea for a set based on Link from Breath of the Wild.
We have covered LEGO IDEAS projects in the past, but while those are traditional LEGO sets that include LEGO mini-figures, this entire build is a figure of Link himself.
Standing at over 7 inches (19 centimeters) tall, this model is a highly detailed representation of the Hero of the Wild. It is based on his appearance from the Breath of the Wild‘s official art and promotional material, complete with essential gear such as his Champion’s Tunic and Traveler’s Shield.

The figure also uses multiple hinge and joint pieces to allow for a wide range of dynamic poses. Paired with an accompanying display stand and a bevy of accessories, this Link can be made to recreate many iconic moments from the game.
In order for this build to move into the evaluation step in the LEGO IDEAS submission process, it needs to reach 10,000 supporters. Zelda-themed ideas have reached this goal in the past, and the possibility of such a set being made official is greater now than ever before, so if you would like to help this project reach that milestone, you can do so on its LEGO IDEAS page.
