With Nintendo and LEGO now partnering to create Mario-themed LEGO sets, BrickGallery, an avid fan of both companies, saw this collaboration as an opportunity for the creation of sets based on more Nintendo franchises. That is why he submitted this concept for a LEGO Breath of the Wild Hyrule Castle set on the LEGO IDEAS website.
The concept for the set was to recreate Link’s storming of the ruined Hyrule Castle for his final confrontation with the Calamity Ganon. This prototype features a massive and detailed model of the castle, a mini-figure of Link, and models of a Korok, a Guardian Skywatcher, and Calamity Ganon.
The set needs to reach 10,000 votes to move onto the next phase of the LEGO IDEAS, which is when LEGO would actually decide to approve the product or not. BrickGallery’s campaign started at the end of March and currently has close to 6,000 supporters.
If anyone would like to add their support to the project, they can do so on its LEGO Ideas page.
