As we reported earlier in the month, a LEGO, Nintendo, and Legend of Zelda enthusiast submitted a concept on the LEGO IDEAS website for a set based on the Hyrule Castle featured in Breath of the Wild. At the time, the project had reached over 5,000 supporters, but today, April 30, it has reached the 10,000 milestone required for the project to move onto the next step in the LEGO IDEAS submission process.
Now that the idea has met the requirements, it will be sent to LEGO for their expert designers to review the build and determine whether or not to give it the final approval to be turned into an actual set. If LEGO decides to move forward with the build, which will also require approval and collaboration with Nintendo, the designers will begin creating a LEGO-approved version of the design, making alterations as needed.
The review and design process may take several months to complete if the idea is approved. LEGO does not typically provide updates about their work on LEGO IDEAS projects, but we will report any new information as it presented.
