Hyrule Castle LEGO set qualifies for First 2021 Review on LEGO IDEAS

LEGO IDEAS is an official Lego site that accepts submissions from fans for new Lego sets. Each year, fan submissions must reach 10,000 supporters to be considered for review., and recently a Hyrule Castle LEGO set became one of 57 submissions to reach 10,000 supporters and qualifiy for the site’s First 2021 Review.

The builder, Artem Biziaev, submitted the project in late 2020 and was one of the first of the year to reach the coveted 10,000 mark. Although the name implies it is just the castle, it also contains different parts of the Hyrule Castle Town from Ocarina of Time. This includes the Happy Mask Shop, the Cucco Lady, and the Temple of Time. The set also contains references to different games, including a Minish stump from the oft-forgotten The Minish Cap.

As for Minifigures, there are eight included: two Moblins, a Stalfos, a guard, Link, Zelda, Ganon, and Anju. Link even has four different shields to choose from which are all taken from different games, and there are four Pieces of Heart to collect. Obviously, a lot of hard work and love went into this set.

Biziaev even shares a similar creative philosophy as Nintendo. “I decided to look at the idea not as an author, but as a buyer… I wanted to create [an] enjoyable set for everyone,” Biziaev says in the description of the set.

There are many other great Nintendo-based sets to look at in the main gallery including Animal Crossing and Metroid sets. On a personal note, I swear, if that My Chemical Romance set gets made, I will be the happiest emo kid alive.
