Here is the Japanese box art for Cadence of Hyrule’s physical edition

A physical copy of the hit indie game Cadence of Hyrule was announced yesterday in the Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, which will include the original digital game and all the four DLC packs we know of to date. Both Japan and North America will experience a worldwide release on October 23, and it looks like both versions will have that sweet official art on the box cover.

Physical copies of Cadence of Hyrule will include all of the DLC Packs.

The Japanese cover is almost identical to the U.S. cover (below), only with Japanese font for the “Legend of Zelda” subtitle and a different placement thereof.

The U.S. version of the box art, revealed in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct Mini.

The head-banging crossover of NecroDancer and Zelda was nominated in The Game Awards for “Best Score / Soundtrack” in 2019. Now new players and fans can look forward to fresh content that includes more playable characters, story, and — you guessed it — more songs to jam along with. If you find waiting until October 23 too difficult, the first DLC pack announced in the Direct Mini was already released yesterday on July 20. It’s available for download right away with the digital copy of Cadence of Hyrule for the Switch. Named DLC Pack 1: Character Pack, it allows players to venture Hyrule in style as Impa, Aria, Frederick, Shadow Link and Shadow Zelda. Each character has their own abilities and weapons, which helps keep players preoccupied between now and October. Impa’s Naginata looks amazing in its own right. Those interested can watch the full announcement in the Nintendo Direct Mini presentation below.
