Breath of the Wild’s Princess Zelda had a lot going on in her life. Throughout the game she deals with feelings of guilt, fear, and pressure. Such varying emotions are difficult to convey for a voice actress, and especially so if the iconic character has never been voiced before. Fortunately Patricia Summersett was up to the challenge.

In a recent interview with Nintendo Life, Patricia explained what is was like to be the first person to take on this responsibility. Summersett revealed that she drew “from the idea of the ‘silent princess’ and Zelda’s inner turmoils.” She felt that “the fate of the world didn’t rest on my shoulders” but that “it was a great inspiration from which to pull”, adding the pressure on Princess Zelda was “…very relateable”.

As a fan of the Legend of Zelda series, it’s no surprise Summersett felt so much responsibility when voicing the titular princess. Do you think she did Zelda justice?

I think that every other character who had voiced dialogue were cast perfectly.

  • Malcolm Gall

    No, sorry.

  • Hali Marie Moran

No, I don’t think she did the character justice. The voice just wasn’t right for Princess Zelda.

I think that the voice definitely suited a zelda but maybe not this zelda. I think she would have been perfect in twilight princess though

This is the precise weblog for anybody who needs to seek out out about this topic. You notice so much its almost arduous to argue with you. You positively put a brand new spin on a subject that’s been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply nice!

Except she wasn’t the first. Not by a “longshot” (heh).

    I liked it.
