Ocarina of Time‘s transition into Unreal Engine 4 by YouTube user CryZENx continues with this latest upload featuring young Link in Gerudo Valley. In case you haven’t been following along with these videos, CryZENx has been showcasing just what a modernized version of Ocarina of Time might look like. The YouTube user has accomplished this feat by recreating the game in Unreal Engine 4, which is currently one of the most popular and advanced engines for game developers.

For many of us that grew up playing Ocarina of Time on the N64, this video is merely filling in the visual gaps that our youthful imaginations took care of when we were younger. After all, I could’ve sworn to you that this is how great the game actually looked when I was eight years old playing it on my parents’ 32-inch tube television. Alas, modern HD televisions and large screens don’t exactly have any nostalgic sympathy towards the graphics that Nintendo was able to champion in the late 1990’s. Thankfully for us, we have maverick YouTubers who can show us what today’s graphics would look like on one of the greatest video games of all time.

This is the latest work in CryZENx’s line of Unreal 4 demos. Others have included A Link to the Past and the Temple of Time. Be sure to pick your jaw up off the floor when you’re done watching.
