Eiji Aonuma has taken to Miiverse announcing that the Twili version of Midna, as seen at the end of Twilight Princess, is playable as a part of the brand new Twilight Princess DLC Pack for Hyrule Warriors. Aonuma explains, “The highlight of the first DLC pack, the Master Quest Pack, was being able to team Link up with Epona. This time around, there will be a new playable character – someone from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess… Who do you think it is? Here’s a hint: this character only appeared in this form at the very end of Twilight Princess.”

Aonuma continued, “When I was developing Twilight Princess, I thought it was such a waste to let a beautiful princess like her only appear in the ending. Now Koei Tecmo Games has made my wish to see more of her come true.”

Midna’s signature weapon in Hyrule Warriors will be the Mirror of Twilight, which was smashed to pieces at the end of Twilight Princess. Aonuma says the weapon is too amazing to express in mere words — players will need to experience its grandness for themselves. Twili Midna and the Mirror of Twilight aren’t the only things coming to the Twilight Princess Pack though. There will also be additional weapons, brand new costumes, and a new Adventure Mode map, so those who played through the original game will have even more content to delve through.

Aonuma also states that there is one alternate costume for Link that will allow you to dress him up as a “certain familiar character in the Zelda series”, causing quite the surprise for players. Could this possibly be a Tingle costume for our favorite hero?

Aonuma confirmed that the Twilight Princess DLC Pack for Hyrule Warriors will be released worldwide on November 27.
