Joe Granato is returning to Kickstarter with “The New 8-bit Heroes”

Joe Granato, the brains behind It’s Dangerous to Go Alone: The Movie, has just launched a teaser trailer for his upcoming project, The New 8-bit Heroes.

While working on his Zelda documentary, Granato came across some old designs for Mystic Searches, a game he imagined as a 7-year-old after spending countless hours saving the world on the NES. Finding his childhood creations inspired him to achieve his dream of making Mystic Searches actual game, playable as it was originally intended: on the NES.

His project, The New 8-bit Heroes, is all about the creation of his game. It will document the design process, and also include a series of tutorials to help others bring forth their own NES games.

You can watch the teaser below.
