Hyrule Warriors: Trailer, release date, Midna and Princess Zelda as playable characters

During the Nintendo Digital Event at E3, a new trailer was revealed for upcoming Wii U spin-off Hyrule Warriors. It is set to release in North America on September 26, 2014, at retail and on the eShop.

The trailer reveals Princess Zelda and Midna as playable characters, and of course includes more gameplay of Link and Impa in action. Various scenes also show Link encountering what looks like the Great Fairy from Ocarina of Time, wielding various blades, throwing a huge bomb at a crowd of enemies, and summoning an impressive special move.

Ganondorf is also revealed, though only his face is shown while the sound of his maniacal laughter plays. The trailer ends with Princess Zelda opening a chest, revealing a Hookshot.

Another developer commentary video shows even more gameplay, with discussion of the game from producers Hisashi Koinuma and Yosuke Hayasahi and supervisor Eiji Aonuma.
