Age of Imprisonment demo will be playable at PAX Australia and Tokyo Game Show

Fuse your Zonai devices and prepare to defend Hyrule. Industry sources have confirmed that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will finally have playable demos at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show this week, as well as at PAX Australia 2025 in October.

Business representatives will have access to the game demo first at the Koei Tecmo booth on September 25, followed by the public on September 26 during the Tokyo Game Show. A pre-game streaming show will be held globally online September 24. It’s not likely that anything related to Hyrule Warriors would appear during the pre-show, but those interested in watching it and the other show events can do that here.

Next, the Age of Imprisonment demo is coming to PAX Australia 2025 from Nintendo’s booth on October 10-12. Guess who else is going to be at PAX Australia? Zelda Universe! That’s right, we’ll be among the first to experience the hack-and-slash Hyrulean excitement in person. We will also have a special panel of our own at PAX Australia, so if you’re there don’t be shy and come say hello!

The Nintendo booth will have lots of other notable game demos at PAX Australia, which include Kirby Air Riders, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Pokémon Y and Z, and the hit indie game Hollow Knight: Silksong. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will release worldwide on the Switch 2 November 6, 2025.
