Zelda News: Age of Calamity hype!

Hey Zelda fans! Another episode of our Zelda News series has gone live on YouTube. This time around, Amanda delves into the exciting information surrounding Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity that was shown off during Tokyo Game Show 2020.

Overall it was a great presentation, which showcased a bunch of new information about the game. We learned of Impa being a playable character, we saw the little “Egg Guardian” thing in action, and much more. I have decided to name this little egg thingamajig “Steve.” You’re welcome for this creative name!

Joking aside, Age of Calamity looks fantastic. The developers have managed to capture the beauty of Breath of the Wild’s art style and world within the classic Dynasty Warriors style, and going by the gameplay that was shown, Age of Calamity looks like a massive improvement over its predecessor Hyrule Warriors in many ways. Each character looks like they’ll bring something to the table, with their movesets being very distinct.

More importantly, though, Mipha and Prince Sidon hug one another in the latest trailer, which is probably the best thing that we’ve seen surrounding the game.

We covered a lot of the information in our endless array of coverage last week. If you missed any of it, we compiled a list of articles that feature the new information that was revealed. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity looks amazing, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Have you preordered Age of Calamity yet?
