The official website for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS systems has confirmed today that Zelda will be a playable character in the upcoming installments in the series. Hit the jump to see some juicy screenshots, as well as one of Zelda’s brand new moves!
Zelda has been confirmed as a playable character for the upcoming versions of Super Smash Bros. and brings with her a possible new move! She can now presumably summon the armor that she uses in Spirit Tracks, as evidenced by one of the screenshots provided by the official Smash Bros. site. While it could just be an Assist Trophy, it could possibly be a Final Smash-like attack as well. It is interesting to see Zelda modeled after her version in Twilight Princess rather than her more recent iteration in Skyward Sword. Could this be a sign of things to come with regards to the new graphical style in Zelda U, or simply a call back to Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
