In Nintendo’s most recent financial results briefing, Satoru Iwata revealed that Link is the most popular amiibo in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. The only exclusion was Australia, where Mario was the most popular amiibo sold.
Seeing as Link is compatible with every amiibo-compatible game, including Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros., it’s no surprise that he’s at the top of the list in almost every region.
Australia needs to pick up the slack though — there is no excuse for number three!
