Two amiibos being restocked ahead of Echoes of Wisdom, but no sign of EoW Zelda amiibo

Nintendo is getting ready for high merchandise demand as promotion for the new game Echoes of Wisdom kicks into high gear ahead of its release date this month. On August 30, the Big N made an official social media announcement that a restock of two of their official amiibo figurines will return to select retailers alongside the game’s worldwide launch on September 26. Notably, they will be Link from the Link’s Awakening Switch remaster and Princess Zelda from The Wind Waker, also known as Toon Zelda.

Curiously, Nintendo has not announced a new amiibo featuring Princess Zelda as she is depicted in the new game Echoes of Wisdom. Fans have noted this to seem somewhat odd, as that could mean she might not have an amiibo featuring a game where she is the main playable character. This would come a bit as a surprise since the beloved Princess received amiibo after her likeness in her last depictions from Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. It’s not ruled out either, however, as Nintendo could possibly announce an amiibo of her after all and they are simply holding one last trick up their sleeve until we get closer to the launch date. It’s also possible she might not get her own amiibo after all because the Switch console is coming to the end of its lifecycle. There is currently no indication whether the Switch’s successor will support amiibo or not at this time.

But for now, September 26 is a good time for those who do not have either of the two amiibo and wish to add them in their collections. Many amiibo often sell out quickly and can be challenging to come by, so it is wise to save the date now while you can.
