This lengthy yet intriguing graph by Reviews2Go charts the battery life for many, many games on the Switch.
Screen brightness and Wi-Fi are two really useful benchmarks in terms of maximum and minimum battery life expenditure, considering they are two of the heaviest culprits when it comes to the energy drain of your Switch battery.
The graph displays the minimum and maximum thresholds as a low screen brightness on airplane mode (orange bar) and maximum brightness with Wi-Fi on (blue bar) — a great indication for both extremes, as well as a rough average you can view at a glance.

Perhaps to some surprise, Breath of the Wild is eleventh from the bottom, showcasing its efficient ability in the battery optimization department. Despite being a huge, beautiful game, this only strengthens my great appreciation for the work Nintendo have done in developing the title.
Other titles close to Breath of the Wild include Super Mario Odyssey and Skyrim, while you will have to catch a flight to closer to the top of graph to find eyebrow-raising, energy sapping titles such as Sonic Mania, Stardew Valley, and to a slightly lesser extent, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe.
While the Switch battery has provided us with a healthier portable play time than we might have initially feared, it still makes for interesting interpretation.
