Despite semiconductor shortages happening worldwide, Nintendo will be releasing a new Nintendo Switch Lite color in May. Nintendo of America’s Twitter posted several images of the blue Switch yesterday and announced that it will release on May 21, the same day as Miitopia.
Nintendo Life chronicled the confusion of the masses and vies to answer the question: Is the new Switch Lite blue or purple? Several Twitter users are calling it “Gamecube Blue” or “GBA Blue,” while others assert that the new color is closer to purple.
Author’s note: It is clearly purple and I don’t care what Nintendo says.
