Charitable Zeldathon Mythos event to benefit Make a Wish America

What better way to close out 2025 or start 2026 off with a bang than to watch talented speedrunners play Zelda games all week long to help children in their greatest need? The Zeldathon team is doing just that, and their next epic adventure is a charitable Legend of Zelda game speed running benefit for Make a Wish America. This global live streamed event, Zeldathon Mythos, begins December 27, 2025 and continues all the way through January 1, 2026. The first game to be featured is Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment played by Zachy and Toontris at 12pm EST. If you don’t want to be spoiled, that’s okay! Plenty of other Zelda games will be streamed after that, including fan favorites like Echoes of Wisdom, A Link to the Past, The Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Ocarina of Time, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds and many more.

All donations are securely processed online and go directly to Make a Wish America. It’s a great way to process your tax write offs for 2025 if you donate before the New Year’s Eve Clock Town Tower strikes midnight. More importantly, those hard-earned rupees will help fulfill the lifelong dreams and wishes of critically ill children, many of whom face a terminal diagnosis. Tens of thousands of volunteers helped make this possible at Make a Wish America since 1980, and hundreds of kids have been impacted ever since. Did you know that a child’s wish is granted every 33 minutes? That’s incredible to think about, but since Make a Wish America doesn’t have a Triforce, all that wish granting has to come from somewhere. (Hint: it’s probably money.) A fulfilled wish is so much more than an emotional joyride. Research now shows a granted wish can provide much-needed traumatic stress relief for ill children and their families. “…There are pieces missing that can only be filled by the impact of a wish experience,” says pediatrician James B. Fahner, MD, FAAP. Fulfilled wishes rally communities together, provide a much-needed shot of hope, and can even sometimes help a child bounce back and completely recover from their illness. Donating to a cause like that makes one feel like a hero for sure!
