After a long online-only season, the renowned speed running charity event Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) returns to its in-person format once again. Planning to be held In Pittsburgh, PA, AGDQ will run nonstop 24/7 from January 14-21 at the Wyndham Hotel and Resorts there. Talented speed runners from all over the world will gather to showcase their skills for charity, as well as speed runners participating remotely who won’t be able to travel. The entire event will be live streamed on the Games Done Quick Twitch Channel.
The featured charity for AGDQ 2024 will be the Prevent Cancer Foundation. This 38-year-old nonprofit organization has taken on the daunting task of reducing cancer deaths by 40% in 2035. That’s not a very long time in relative terms. Much of this goal will involved raising enough funds to educate the public about cancer risks and health, invest in medical technologies to prevent cancer, and diagnose cancer early.
