On October 27, the popular Zelda marathon nonprofit Zeldathon announced an upcoming mini charity marathon named Side Quest: Winter Masquerade. Set to begin December 29 later this year, the marathon’s theme will feature a mysterious thriller winter themed vibe. Submissions are currently open now for prospects until November 15. Zeldathon is looking for various volunteer roles for the event, including remote positions.
“We are particularly interested in social-deduction / mystery / thriller / winter-themed games (but we welcome other submissions too!),” says Zeldathon in a post on X as of this morning. All proceeds raised for Winter Masquerade will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation to help bring video games, toys, and smiling faces to hospitalized and seriously ill children. “At Starlight, we create moments of happiness that can reduce stress, improve mental and emotional well-being, and promote faster healing,” says the U.S.-based organization’s website. “Starlight’s vital programs help ease the hospital experience for millions of sick kids and their families by providing socialization, distraction, procedural support, and comfort at more than 700 children’s hospitals across the country.” Anyone who is interested in volunteering for Winter Masquerade or any other Zeldathon event can contact them on their website here.
