Princess Zelda’s debut game takes a strong stride in sales, and while it’s technically not a gold medal seller anymore, it’s certainly keeping pace with the pack. In Japan, Famitsu Software Sales reported that Echoes of Wisdom placed fifth out of thirty titles for the the first half of October, squeezing ahead of powerful long-standers Mario Kart 8 and Minecraft. In the United States, Echoes of Wisdom did better on the Switch eShop Charts, placing a solid second place ahead of Hogwarts Legacy, and just behind the new first-place hot seller Mario Party Jamboree.
Echoes of Wisdom enjoyed some time in the first place limelight in September 2024, however, before newer titles like Silent Hill 2, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, and Mario Party Jamboree captured audience’s attentions with their glamor. Even though Echoes of Wisdom sales declined from its former number one spot in the U.S., it was powerful enough to knock down Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Mario Bros. Wonder along the way from their former top five sales spots in August, according to Nintendo Life. With new game titles shaking up the market, it’s debatable whether Echoes of Wisdom sales will reach number one again. But as the holiday season fast approaches, it’s likely the game will sell well regardless as the Nintendo Switch makes one last hurrah before more details about its successor console are announced sometime next year.
