It’s dangerous to go alone – so go fast. Speedrun.com leaderboards officially went live on October 10 for Echoes of Wisdom, and speedrunners are eagerly making records. There are 36 categories available, including the much-anticipated Any%, 100%, and Glitchless runs. The current world record holder for the Any% category belongs to Swedish player Nitroz, but that of course is subject to change. In fact, the renowned Zelda speedrunner gymnast86 has already set his sights on the prize.
During the livestream charity event Disaster Relief Done Quick by Games Done Quick, gymnast86 successfully completed his demonstration of Echoes of Wisdom in less than one hour on October 17. There’s no doubt he’s still speedrunning the game in his race to meet the world record spot. All donations during Disaster Relief Done Quick were given to the nonprofit organization Direct Relief in response to help victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton in the United States. The back-to-back historic storms unfortunately claimed over 250 lives and caused widespread damage for thousands of people in several states, including Florida and western North Carolina.
