Nintendo appears to have indirectly confirmed amiibo compatibility for the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
The amiibo logo is featured on the game’s official Japanese website. If you scroll down to the game’s box art and release information section, you’ll see it in the upper-right corner:
There are currently no details on how amiibo functionality will be implemented into the game.
The Link’s Awakening remake allowed players to use amiibo figures to unlock content for the Chamber Dungeon, the game’s dungeon creator mode. This feature has not been confirmed for Echoes of Wisdom, but since both games share the same visual style, it’s always possible that it may return.
Link’s Awakening also had its own amiibo figure of Link, so hopefully, the confirmation of amiibo support in Echoes of Wisdom signals an incoming announcement for a Princess Zelda figure.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024, alongside a Hyrule Edition Nintendo Switch Lite.
