The Zelda Dungeon Marathon, an annual charity event supporting No Kid Hungry, raised $17,085.16 this June. Each year, members of the Zelda Dungeon team stream on Twitch for a week straight, playing Zelda games, related titles, and mini-games. They also live-reacted to the Nintendo Direct. The event took place between June 15 and June 22. Their initial fundraising goal was $12,000.
No Kid Hungry is a US-based nonprofit organization that helps fight child hunger by providing meals for schools and at home. They also provide grants and conduct research on the issue. According to their website, each dollar raised provides 10 meals to a child in need, meaning the Zelda community’s donations will provide over 170,000 meals to children in need. If you missed the event, moments from the stream are available on Twitch, as well as the Zelda Dungeon Archives YouTube channel. A complete breakdown of their donation totals and past years’ events is available on Tiltify.
