Even world-saving heroes need to stay hydrated. Soaring summer temperatures means it’s important to keep your cool, and Link has the right idea. The Hero of the Wild was recently spotted stuffing cheek-fulls of juicy hydromelon in what appears to be somewhere in Gerudo Town. Sure enough, it didn’t take long for his adorable mug to appear on the Summer 2023 front page cover of Nintendo Magazine. Zelda Universe staff attempted to inquire the hero about his thoughts regarding heat safety and the current Upheaval events, but decided to scratch the idea in order to not interrupt him enjoying his precious moment of self-care. In any case, Link shows a great example of staying safe in hot weather by taking breaks near the shade, dressing in loose light layers, and consuming water-rich foods. Locals confirmed the hero is a frequent visitor of the area but otherwise knew little about him due to their cultural limitations interacting with “voe,” and declined to make further comments.
