As we approach the release of the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, new information continues to emerge through various Nintendo channels. According to the official Japanese website for the game, the Breath of the Wild sequel will have a file size of 16GB exactly.
What’s curious about this number is that it is different from the one shown in the North American eShop listing for the game, which seems to be 18.2GB. For comparison, the Breath of the Wild file size on both the North American and Japanese eShop is 14.4GB for the base game and 15.7GB with the Expansion Pass content included.
It is unclear at the moment if any of the Tears of the Kingdom file size numbers will be updated in the future, how this would affect the final product or even why there is such a notable discrepancy in the first place, but it is interesting to note nonetheless.
