Age of Imprisonment’s file size is considerably higher than previous entries

If your Nintendo Switch 2 internal storage space is almost full, you might want to consider deleting some unplayed games or upgrading to a microSD Express Card since Nintendo has revealed that the file size for Age of Imprisonment will be a whopping 44.9 GB.

Players quickly realized that the previous Hyrule Warriors games perform significantly better on the Switch 2 even without upgrades.

For comparison, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch is 12.9 GB and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity ended up at 11.1 GB. Neither of these games received technical Switch 2 editions or updates, though players have noticed significant frame rate improvements on their base games while running on Switch 2 hardware.

It is worth noting that file sizes this far from release are not necessarily set in stone and that this number could change slightly. However, it seems that the improvements in specifications on Switch 2 will understandably come with significantly higher file sizes for some games when compared to the original Switch.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6 worldwide this year.
