What Zelda character do you want to see in the next Smash Bros?

Calling all Zelda fans! The grassroots Super Smash Bros. fansite Source Gaming is gathering research for an upcoming video, and they need your help. We must know the burning question. What dream Legend of Zelda character do you want to see as a fighter in a future Super Smash Bros. game? Is it a returning veteran? A newcomer? Tell Source Gaming who you want to see in their poll through this form here. The poll closes after October 19.

It’s incredible that the Super Smash Bros. series has gotten this far since its first game released in 1999 on the Nintendo 64. Co-developed by legendary Kirby developer Masashiro Sakurai, the famous fighting game series has grown from a dozen fighters to a whopping roster of 76 by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Many thrilling adventures were made along the way as more and more game companies partnered with Sakurai to feature their licensed characters in the game over the years. Even Disney finally made an agreement for Sora from Kingdom Hearts to make an appearance in Ultimate as a DLC. Sakurai put so much hard work and passion into the series, it almost cost him his life due to a shoulder injury and sheer work exhaustion, and for a while it appeared that Ultimate might have been his last game ever to work on. Fortunately that’s not the case anymore. Sakurai’s health has improved and he is more determined than ever. He is diligently working on the new Kirby Air Riders launching later this year for the Switch 2, and a new unannounced game that he briefly mentioned in April 2022 on his YouTube series.
