Min Min, everyone’s favorite ramen girl from ARMS, has punched her way into Smash Bros. Ultimate, and she’s packing a unique play style all her own. She will be available on June 29 as part of the fighter’s pass or for individual purchase. New Mii fighter costumes will be available that same day.
If you’re unfamiliar, ARMS is a fighting game made by Nintendo and released during the Switch’s release year. It received relatively mixed opinions, but it certainly has its own style and a dedicated fanbase. Min Min isn’t on the cover like Ribbon Girl and Spring Man, but she is a fan-favorite character. She also was apparently added at the direct request of the game’s producer, Kosuke Yabuki.

Along with Min Min comes a new stage, Spring Stadium, which features jump pads and over-hanging beams that you can bounce your opponents off of. A large majority of the accompanying music scores will be character themes from the original game. Finally, one of Smash‘s biggest musical crimes is put to rest with the addition of the ARMS theme.
New Mii Fighter costumes were also announced, and will be sold separately. The new list of costumes includes:
- Ninjara from ARMS (Mii Fighter)
- Callie from Splatoon (Mii Fighter)
- Marie from Splatoon (Mii Gunner)
- Heihachi from Tekken (Mii Fighter, previously seen in Smash Wii U/3DS)
- And as a complete surprise, Vault Boy from the Fallout series as a Mii Gunner!

Two new amiibo were shown as well for DLC characters Joker and The Hero from Dragonquest XI. It was also stated that characters who received an updated look for Smash Bros. Ultimate are unlikely to receive updated amiibo. Considering there’s 11 other characters to get through, it makes sense. Many of us still want new Ganondorf and “Hero of the Wilds” Link figures, but it honestly seems that we’re only getting any amiibo at all due to a dedication to completing the set. At this point it seems like amiibo are going to be swept under the rug altogether.
During the presentation, Sakurai also expressed gratitude for the patience of Smash players during these crazy times. He hopes we can look forward to further announcements in the future. The full presentation can be watched on Nintendo’s official YouTube.
