E3 2021 Awards Show announced, schedule revealed for Nintendo Direct and Treehouse Live

The moment we waited for has finally arrived. As more details come to light for E3 2021, the ESA has announced that there will be an E3 2021 Awards Show on June 15, the last day of the four-day virtual E3 event. The Awards Show will cap off as the bookend of the power-packed showcase by honoring prestigious awards to games revealed during E3 while kicking off new game titles not released before. Though the timeslot for the Awards Show itself has not been confirmed yet, we do know that it will be hosted by the prominent industry figures Jacki Jing, Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, and Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller.

Nintendo also finally dropped the big shoe and announced its schedule for E3 2021. It is now confirmed that Nintendo will host a 40-minute Nintendo Direct on June 15 at 9am PST / 12pm EST, followed by a three-hour Treehouse Live presentation featuring new gameplay.

Of course, we can only speculate what Nintendo might show at this point. Several prominent industry figures are placing their bets on the much-anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel, Splatoon 3, and even smatterings of a new Metroid title.

Other companies who confirmed their attendance for the virtual E3 2021 show include Microsoft, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, and xSEED. Sony and Konami will not be attending.
