Despite having multiple setbacks, Super Nintendo World continues to update fans with exciting new updates (including some awesome merch). So, here’s a roundup of all the exciting things going on as we approach the as-yet-to-be-determined grand opening.
The park, located within Universal Studios Japan, recently started doing technical rehearsals to make sure the rides and attractions are up to snuff for the general public. Make sure to keep your cameras in your pocket, as signs around USJ have warned park-goers to not post photos or videos until the grand opening, as seen in this tweet from L.C.A. Studios.
Speaking of signs, new signs and banners have been posted all around the park, including a big Mario hanging right at the entrance. Twitter user rikataaaaam_usj tweeted out several of the banners and the main park sign as well.
The biggest reveal of the week was the Universal Studio Store, where Mario and his pals are front and center, and there are a ton of tweets and images gathered by Nintendo Wire for you to check out. Some of the highlights include plushies, keychains, clothing, and (most importantly) instant mushroom risotto. The following video tour from YouTuber Tynka Noland shows closeups and prices for a lot of the merch.
Although an opening date has not been set yet, Super Nintendo World is looking to be very exciting. But, maybe wait to buy your tickets until we aren’t in a global pandemic.
