Yesterday’s Nintendo Treehouse Live showcased a lot of new details about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and we’ve been squeezing every detail that we possibly can out of the gameplay shown.
One fascinating piece of info that we received is a mission mode of sorts to help you train with weapons. We got a glimpse of this in action with a mission titled “Link: Two-Handed Weapons,” which throws our hero into Lon Lon Ranch and sees him trying to complete various objectives. In the example shown, the goal is to defeat 400 enemies under a five-minute time limit.
In this mode, Link fights Hylian soldiers as he refines his skills. Once the 400 enemies are defeated, Daruk challenges Link to a fight. During the demonstration, the Treehouse team suggests that you can cut him off in the middle of his Magma Bomb attack using a Bomb Rush. Another cool technique that was shown was Link being able to quickly digest food to strengthen certain attacks.
This seems like a fun little side activity to refine your skills and receive rewards for doing so. If you want to see the training action for yourself, skip to the 14:25 mark in the video below.
