Xbox Games Pass is an incredible service for those who play on Microsoft’s available platforms. Whether you’re playing on console or PC, you have the option to download a variety of titles such as Yakuza 0, Halo, and more.
Last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer spoke about bringing the service to more platforms. The company has since achieved this on its own devices including Xbox One, PC, and their Project XCloud service. In an interview with Game Star, Spencer discussed how there were no current plans to bring the service to other platforms such as the Nintendo Switch.

Spencer said, ”The thing about other gaming console platforms is that we’re not able to bring a full Xbox experience on those platforms.” The main reason, he said, is because, ”The other competitive platforms aren’t really that interested in having a full Xbox experience on their hardware.” This makes sense from a competitor’s perspective, as they would want to focus on their own games and hardware.
Microsoft and Nintendo seem to be on good terms, as we’ve seen titles such as Cuphead, Minecraft Dungeons, and Ori and the Blind Forest make their way to the Switch. It’ll be interesting to see if more games make their way from Xbox Game Studios onto Nintendo’s hybrid console, but Spencer has previously mentioned he’s over rumors regarding games coming to other consoles.
