Super Nintendo World construction seems like it’s nearly finished

The upcoming Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has seen a fair share of rumors and screenshots since its announcement. Recently, an overhead drone shot surfaced online giving us a substantial view of the park.

As showcased in the image above, we can see the layout of the park and its high attention to detail. It’ll definitely transport guests to the world of Nintendo with all these amazing additions. The construction has come a long way these past few months and there’s a lot to be excited about.

The partnership was originally announced in May 2015 and then Nintendo followed up in 2016 with an official announcement. The theme park is evidently focused on Mario, from the screenshots we’ve seen and the details provided by Universal and Nintendo. Hopefully, we’ll see an expansion for The Legend of Zelda and other Nintendo properties in the future.

Super Nintendo World seems like it is nearly ready to open, but it might be some time before it officially opens up to the public. It was originally planned to open prior to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which have now been postponed. With the current global circumstances, the park has said they are ”carefully considering a reopening date while monitoring the current situation”.

Universal also confirmed that they have plans to bring Super Nintendo World to its other parks at some point in the future.
