Universal Studios gains Nintendo IP

The Universal Studios parks are home to Harry PotterJurassic Park, and soon: Nintendo. A press release came out today announcing a partnership between Universal and Nintendo, bringing Nintendo’s popular characters to the parks, which means we can expect an assortment of Nintendo-themed attractions the entire family can enjoy such as rides, shows and character experiences. Nintendo has not gone into specifics regarding when the Italian plumber and his crew will be moving in or what new attractions we can anticipate. However, according to the press release, “Nintendo has created remarkable and imaginative worlds filled with captivating stories and beloved characters. Now, for the first time, those stories and characters will be brought to life in entirely new ways — only at Universal theme parks.”

“Those stories and characters will be brought to life in entirely new ways”

The Universal parks are known for utilizing the latest technology to create the most innovative and spectacle-filled entertainment imaginable. I know I’m a huge fan of Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and no trip to Universal is complete for me without hopping onto Jurassic Park: The Ride. Add Zelda to the mix and I might just explode with excitement! What kind of Nintendo attractions would you like to see? I wouldn’t mind relaxing on a float in Lake Hylia after racing along a Rainbow Road roller coaster.
