Indie developer Pocket Llama launched a new Kickstarter campaign earlier this week for its Zelda-inspired adventure game, Toasty.
The team is looking to raise $30,000 to complete the development of the game. You can download and play a demo of Toasty before pledging your support.
Toasty is an action-adventure game that plays similarly to a 2D Legend of Zelda game, but the developers have also drawn inspiration from other famous games like Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun, and Mother. The trailer features the classic top-down gameplay you would expect from a Zelda-like, but also mixes in odd segments of racing and — turn-based RPG battles?
The odd setting of the game extends to its main character, Marshall, who is a knight that is also a marshmallow. The developers have taken full advantage of having a marshmallow for a hero by making him stick to surfaces and be highly flammable.
