Medli’s Melodies: Eclipsing the sun

One of the things the Warriors games are known for, which admittedly is something I look forward to whenever I play them, is their use of heavy rock soundtracks. After all, what kind of music is better suited for mowing down tons and tons of enemies in an over-the-top fashion?

The second Hyrule Warriors was announced, the idea of what the soundtrack would be like crossed my mind, and I was filled with immediate glee. A lot of my favorite Zelda tunes were gonna be remixed into awesome rock songs and I couldn’t wait. I think one of the best aspects about the game’s soundtrack is that I could pick any song at complete random and it’d be an enjoyable one to listen to. All of the remixes are superb, and you can tell there was a lot of love put into them. But I think it’s just as impressive, if not more so, that the original songs written for the game are this good. Sure, the remixes such as “Skyloft” might be more popular choices, but I’m still both glad and impressed at the level of quality the original music has.
