We’re celebrating 5 years of Hyrule Warriors with related articles this week

Much like the recent Cadence of Hyrule, Hyrule Warriors took us all by surprise when it was first announced, presenting us all with the Zelda spin-off we never knew we wanted.

It’s already been five years since Nintendo’s and Koei Tecmo’s collaborative effort first launched in Japan on the Wii U on August 14, 2014. The game was unbelievably fun and already bursting at the seams with content, but the developers didn’t stop there: it became the first-ever Zelda game to incorporate downloadable content, and it would later see subsequent releases with additional content in Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch.

To celebrate, we’re going to be dedicating our regular columns to the game this week, with trivia, character profiles, cosplay, and more. You can catch them all through the Hyrule Warriors Week 2019 tag.

Let us know your favorite memories of the game!
